Mackenzie’s 2019 Open House is our annual fundraiser with tons of fun, prizes & a silent auction the whole family will enjoy. You and your dog(s) are invited to come grab a bite to eat by (Let Us Cater serving Yesterdogs along with Furniture City Creamery), visit the Sanctuary, meet staff, say hello to ‘adopted’ dogs that may be visiting, take tours, meet adoptable dogs, and celebrate the hundreds of homeless dogs that have found forever adoptive homes because of supporters like you.

Your participation and support at this year’s Open House helps continue our efforts of helping neglected, abused or abandoned dogs, for ‘as long as it takes’.

    RELEASE AND WAIVER: For in consideration of my participation in Our event, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, administrators, and assigns, release and discharge the venue and all involved sponsors and their respective servants, agents, employees, officials and officers, from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, loss, damage and causes of action of any sort, including attorney's fees for injuries sustained to my person or property incurred by reason of my participation or preparation for the above said event due to negligence or any fault. I hereby grant the organization specific permission to reproduce, publish, circulate, copyright, or otherwise use any and all photographs and/ or videotape of me and/ or my family taken at Our event, for use by the organization. I certify that my participation is free and voluntary. By clicking on the "Complete Registration" button below, I signify that I have read and understood the foregoing Release and Waiver, an, if under the age of 18, have the consent of a parent or guardian to participant in this event.

    A Few Requests for the Day

    Help Needed: Help the Sanctuary Dogs by bringing your favorite box or bag of dog treats to the event (the small soft training treats are greatly needed)… Not sure what to bring? We have a huge list of items that are needed at the Sanctuary on our Amazon ‘Wish List’, please check it out!

    ATTENTION: Dog Health Matters and Etiquette

    Dog participants must have current vaccinations, a current negative fecal, and must be on a leash at all times. For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all of our guests, please help your dog observe the rules of good canine etiquette. Unruly dogs may be asked to leave.

    • Your pet should be comfortable among strangers and other animals.
    • All dogs must be on a leash (six feet in length maximum – no extendable leashes).
    • Pick up after your pet.

    Special Guests

    • Yesterdog will be serving their Good’Ole Fashioned Hot Dogs. $5 meal deal will get you a hotdog, bag of chips & a bottle of water. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sanctuary.
    • Furniture City Creamery will be serving ice cream and handing out a limited amount of pup-cups.
