To work independently with dogs, you must be at least 16 years old.
Young people age 8 through 15 may volunteer in our family volunteer program. A parent, guardian or other responsible adult must volunteer with the youth.
Young people under the age of 8 can help Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary by holding fundraisers, toy and treat drives, and building awareness. A speaker is available to visit classrooms or club meetings. Call us at (616) 693-2916 to learn more!
