Belle’s 1st Week at Home
Mom said that Belle is doing awesome! The first week has been going very well, besides Belle’s fascination with wanting to play with the cats way too much. ” title=”Smile” /> The cats actually don’t seem to mind, but Belle does get a little too playful with trying to chase & pin them down, so they are working on the ‘no’ command with that.
Their older dog ‘Buster’ seems to be adjusting well to his new sister. Belle hasn’t bothered him too much, which is really good that she’s so respectful! Buster tolerates her most of the time, and Belle seems to know when it’s ok to play, and when to leave him alone. So far, so good!
Belle only had a few accidents in the house at first which was expected for a young puppy, but they actually found out she had a mild urinary tract infection that could have contributed to potty accidents as well. So they took care of that with their Vet, and Belle is doing great. Crate training has also been going well, as Belle is sleeping well at night, and is even good with the crate when Mom goes to work too.
Belle has already learned how to ‘SIT’ and lay ‘DOWN’, which Mom is very proud that Belle is doing so awesome with learning! Mom’s co-worker does training, so they’ll be starting Belle with some puppy-training & also start dog-to-dog “play dates” with another puppy very soon.
Mom and Dad seem very happy with their new companion!
