This is Jenni. Mike and I adopted Guido and I wanted to update you and let you know how he is doing. He is getting along great with neighbor kids, Bronco-our other dog, the cats and birds and has been such a cuddler. He is very funny. He doesnt gulp food down much anymore. He actually chews it these days and he is spoiled. He has tons of toys and him and Bronco spend all day destroying them when we are at work. He is very smart and listens well and is alot better on the leash since we got him the harness that clips the leash up front.
He’s been to the vet once and did well. Although a dog looked at him wrong and Guido held his ground and gave the other dog a growl. He is a fearless little guy and many people give compliments to him. He also saw a professional photographer and was still extremely camera shy. However the guy managed to get a few good pictures that I will send soon. Guido seems to be afraid of the flash and the clicking noise. For some reason, thats his only fear. He is mesmerized by the wildlife in our back yard and he squeels and gets so excited when he sees a rabbit, squirrel, fox, other dog, deer…etc.
He has been a pleasure and is very vocal with grumbles and "sighs" and whistles. He hates getting up in the morning and when he hears my alarm, he grumbles real loud and rolls over and looks at me like he doesnt want to get up. He also snores….and barks in his sleep. Its pretty cute. But overall he’s been great. He can open beer bottles, so we have to store beer in the garage now instead of the entry way. I almost considered sending him to AA. Other than that…..he’s been pretty good, and not real destructive. But if he can sneak something off the counter, he will do it. He managed to eat a half bag of dog biscuits….but I think Bronco had something to do with it too….since he is taller and able to get at them better. So funny.
Thanks! We love him!

He seems real happy…..Bronco and him play, but aren’t wild at all. They wrestle and chew on each other. Guido gets walks but not long ones yet b/c he isn’t fond of the cold (I am not either). So it works out great. Bronco and Guido destroyed 2 years of accumulated dog toys in one morning. Our house was full of stuffing and mutilated plush and rubber toys. So I’ll be shopping for other toys tonight.February 25, 2009 Hi Kristi!
He is doing wonderfully. He is surprisingly quiet, doesn’t bark much at all and has easily made himself at home. Bronco and him play, but not to the point where they overdo it, so it is perfect. He is like a little heater, he crawls up on us and can’t get close enough and he keeps us warm. Extremely cuddly and loves to be on our lap. Great great dog. He only had 2 accidents his first day and he had those on a lanolium floor which was easy to clean up. No accidents since then and he rings the bell to go outside. The one thing that concerns us is his tail. He is so happy he hits it on the hallway walls, the kitchen cabinets….anything near and it bleeds. We are taking him to the vet to have them look at it on Saturday. He is starting to get used to the layout of our house, but when we crate him he bangs it against the crate and sprays our walls in blood. We bought him the 48 inch crate too. But we will get him healed and he will be fine. I totally love him. SO does Mike.
My brother came over with his dog, Gage. Guido instantly jumped on my brothers lap and licked him and then started playing with my brothers dog. There are very few dogs that Gage will play with, and fortunately he adores Guido! Guido instigates playtime which is great!
He seems very very happy.
I am attaching a few photos, but will be sending you a formal letter and printed photos to your office. I am very very happy with Guido. I am glad you suggested him. ” title=”Very Happy” />
