Intake Date – 12/15/2007
Adoption Date – 10/15/2008So Bill couldn’t sleep this morning and at 2:45a.m. he went into the TV room to try to fall back asleep again in his chair. I don’t think so. Harmon has adopted the brown leather chair by the window. I seriously think that one of these days he will figure out how to recline it and turn on the massage features! He was in his kennel asleep at 11:00 p.m. The recliner fairy must have come for a visit!

It’s been a fantastic week! Harmon and Oliver (their Corgi mix) actually progressed in their play relationship on Saturday with play-bows, sharing toys, and chasing each other around the yard…. Lisa said it was so great to see them playing together like that. They’re becoming quite the buddies exploring outdoors especially, and overall seem to be getting along just fine.Lisa joked that Harmon is quite the piece of work, he’s shared several hilarious moments with them just in the past 3 days even . . . . first of all, as we all heard last week, Harmon has totally taken over Bill’s recliner chair. But even more hilarious was on Monday the family was watching T.V., they on the couch and Harmon on his recliner…. when all of a sudden Harmon flipped over onto his back, tummy up, and started SNORING the loudest they’ve ever heard from a dog! They were all cracking up laughing!
Then on Tuesday, Harmon was a sneaky little fella, and got into the trash after he smelled some tasty chicken wings inside. Needless to say, Harmon enjoyed several yummy chicken wings that night!
Then this morning, Lisa came out to volunteer at MAS for a few hours, and when she got home, she noticed Harmon had found a half-full container of treats, and all the treats were gone. He wasn’t acting ill or anything, but Lisa has been watching him closely today and gave him burger & rice. Lisa joked that he’s definitely not missing any meals at his new home, that’s for sure!
Lisa said Harmon acts like he’s always been there, he’s truly made himself right at home. And Bill has been “ga-ga” over Harmon since Day 1 – they are now ‘baseball’ buddies and will be watching all the games together (with the recliner of course). Lisa said everyone that has met Harmon has been absolutely in love with him . . . he is so friendly and goes right up to everyone to say Hello. She couldn’t say enough about how wonderful Harmon is. She can’t imagine how anyone could have passed up adopting Harmon, they don’t know what they are missing!!

We love the Harmonizer. He now digs craters in the back yard and lays in them like he’s done something wonderful.
And while he is digging he flings the dirt onto Oliver who just stands there looking like he has done something wonderful. They chase each other through the house. I’ve had to put things up higher so the tall guy doesn’t knock everything over. We walked him over to the pond in the woods by our house and he jumped right in and looked happier than a pig in mud. He even swam. He’s met the vet and everyone in the neighborhood so if he gets loose, they know where he belongs. Yup, Harmon’s doin’ just fine, thank you very much. Bill constantly comments that he can’t believe that people passed him up. -
