We are excited to share that we are now partnering with Bonfire, an online store to raise funds by selling Mackenzie’s shirts. Learn more...
Quincy was left tied out to one of our barns here at MAS. An employee found him very early in the morning when they were returning home to one of the apartments on our property. They almost hit the poor guy with their car.
Quincy was very frightened and two people used a catch pole to safely bring him into our isolation facility. The initial interactions by staff were coaxing him to come near them; enticing him with hot dog pieces and submissive posturing. There were times when he growled if they tried to check his mouth or touch his legs but it was all based on fear issues. He mostly ran outside away from them.
He has been out of isolation for a short period of time, Safer tested and is currently unadoptable. He just started working with a human on behavior modification and with proper conditioning he should be adoptable at some point.
I provide some updates as we move forward with his behavior programs.
