Meet Quincey – a Sponsor dog!
Not all dogs at the Sanctuary are ready for that next step of a ‘forever home’ and need some extra time with experienced loving caregivers.
A $25/month Sponsorship donation (or a one-time $300 payment) via Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary helps us to care for one of these dogs for one month (or one year). For Sponsoring a dog you’ll receive:
A photo and biography about your sponsored dog
A certificate documenting your sponsorship
Quincey was found tied up to one of the barns at Mackenzie’s one cold winter morning – and he was not happy about that! It took our Staff and Volunteers several hours to calm him down to get close enough to bring him inside.
Quincey now allows Staff and special Volunteers to spend time with him. He loves to show off how well he can sit, shake, sit pretty, roll over and lay down – he is very smart! Since it takes a while for Quincey to warm up to new people, it has been very hard to find a family who understands his personality and needs. But we will never stop working with him, loving him and maybe one day finding a forever home just right for Quincey!
Help us help dogs like Quincey by Sponsoring a Sanctuary sweetheart today!
Cola still ‘happy as ever’!
PUPDATE: Erin sent us this update on Cola, adopted three years ago from Mackenzie’s. Thanks Erin! So glad Cola has become such a big part of the family!
“Hello Mackenzie’s, Cola here!! I’ve been at my forever home just over 3 years now and I’m still happy as ever!! I have a “little” sister (she’s much bigger than me) who I love playing with and sharing bones with! It’s nice because she starts chewing my bones to soften them up for me and then let’s me take over. I’m very loved! Every night I sleep in my human sisters bed and make sure she keeps warm as she sleeps! I want to say thank you for rescuing me so I could find my furever home!! Xoxo!” – Cola
