Robb
Status: Not Adoptable
Date of Birth: December 5, 2015

Robb’s journey has been anything but easy, but through every twist and turn, MAS has remained his safety net. He first arrived at our sanctuary in 2017 as a fearful stray, searching for a place to belong. Though he found homes along the way, fate was not always kind—he was returned through no fault of his own, adopted again, and ultimately abandoned. When another rescue deemed him unworthy of a second chance, MAS stepped in before it was too late, proving our commitment to the dogs in our care for life. Today, Robb is finally living the life he deserves in a permanent foster home with one of our dedicated volunteers, where he is safe, loved, and cherished.
Over the years, Robb has faced several health challenges, but thanks to the support of MAS, he continues to enjoy his golden years in comfort. He has been diagnosed with indolent lymphoma, a very slow-moving type of cancer that, unlike more aggressive forms, often doesn’t cause major health issues or shorten a dog’s lifespan. Many dogs with this condition end up passing away from natural aging rather than from the disease itself. In addition, he has a history of skin cancers, including eyelid melanoma and plasmacytoma, both of which were successfully removed and have not returned. While these conditions required careful monitoring, early treatment gave Robb the best chance at a full and happy life.
Like many senior dogs, Robb also experiences mild hip arthritis, which can cause stiffness and discomfort, especially after long naps or on cold days. However, with proper care and management, including joint supplements and a comfortable home environment, he stays active and enjoys his daily routine. He also struggles with a sensitive stomach, a condition called chronic food-responsive enteropathy, which means his digestive system can’t handle just any diet. Thankfully, with a specialized diet, his symptoms remain well controlled, and he can enjoy his meals without issue.
One of Robb’s biggest challenges is his storm and noise phobia, which makes loud noises—like thunderstorms or fireworks, especially stressful for him. However, in his loving foster home, he has a safe space where he can feel secure during storms, and his foster family takes extra steps to keep him comfortable when the weather turns rough.
Sponsoring Robb means standing beside him, just as MAS has, ensuring he has everything he needs to live out his golden years in peace. Your support provides for his medical care, prescription food, and continued security, giving him the stability that was once out of reach. After everything he has been through, Robb deserves to spend the rest of his life knowing he will never be abandoned again.
