Life hasn’t been the easiest for Squeaky, but you’d never know it by the way he lights up when he’s playing fetch or trotting around the big yard. At MAS, we adore this spunky senior for his quirks, his resilience, and his never-give-up spirit.

Squeaky has battled more than his fair share of medical challenges, and while he’s a fighter through and through, he needs ongoing care to keep him comfortable and happy. He has been diagnosed with two types of cancer, both removed but with narrow margins, meaning the risk of recurrence is high. He also has low back arthritis that makes movement a little stiff some days, seasonal allergies that require medication, and hypothyroidism, which affects his energy and metabolism but is managed with daily medication. Years ago, he fought Reactive Cutaneous Histiocytosis, a painful immune disorder that thankfully seems to be in remission.

Despite all of this, Squeaky is still full of life. He’s entered his golden years, and while he enjoys his cozy naps, he’s never lost his love for running, exploring, and chasing after his favorite toys. He’s an incredible dog, but due to some reactivity and behavioral quirks, he needs an experienced handler—someone who understands him, respects his space, and lets him be his best self.
