Giving ‘The Gift of Health’ this Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is the global day of giving and we need your support!
On Tuesday, November 30th, join Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary as we aim to raise $40,000 to give our dogs and many more ‘The Gift of Health’.
We believe all dogs should have a healthy second, third…or fourth chance at finding a forever home. Your support is vital! Not only are you helping the dogs that come to Mackenzie’s get the medical care they deserve, but you are also giving them a second chance at finding a ‘Loving Forever Home & Family’.
Most of us know firsthand that caring for just one dog can get pricey. Between annual wellness exams, vaccines, monthly preventatives, food, supplements, and prescription drugs, it adds up fast! Many of the dogs that come here have had little to no medical care, so we must start from the beginning. Here at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary, we care for 60-90 dogs at any given time. From newborns to hospice, healthy to battling cancer; we see it all and do everything we can to provide our dogs with ‘The Gift of Health’!
On average, we spend $280,000 annually on medical costs alone! Because of YOU and your continued support, our on-site veterinary clinic can offer high quality veterinary care to every dog that calls Mackenzie’s their ‘home along the way’.
The skilled and dedicated veterinary staff at Mackenzie’s formulates a specific plan for every dog. This includes the basics, such as annual bloodwork, vaccines, spays and neuters. We’re also able to provide more in-depth care such as mass removals, routine dental cleanings (that may or may not lead to extractions), x-rays, ultrasounds, specialized blood testing for disease monitoring, amputations, exploratory and other major surgeries, physical therapy, chemotherapy and managing various chronic diseases.
With your help and support, we can continue to provide these deserving dogs with top notch veterinary care and give them ‘The Gift of Health’ to live a long and happy life in a forever home.
