November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month
The compassion and support utilized in human hospice care is available for our furry family members as well. Veterinary hospice provides the opportunity for terminally ill pets to live as comfortably as possible while managing nausea, inappetence, discomfort, disorientation, and other signs associated with terminal conditions. With thorough hospice care, many terminally ill pets are able to experience quality time with their families as their families prepare for the pending death of their pets. End of life decisions are never easy; therefore, it is best to be informed of all options before that time comes.
