I’ll never forget the day he was looking in my mother-in-law’s window as we decorated her Christmas tree. She had checked with all the shelters, ran ads, placed ads on the radio, etc. for several weeks, but no one responded. Chip stole our hearts immediately, so we adopted him. He was a scraggely German Shepherd mix of some sort – about 6 months old. He immediately bonded with us and our dog, Buddy, although he made it clear to Buddy that he was one step ahead in the pack. Chip loved to play "snow plow" with his nose pushing thru the snow. He loved going fishing with us & playing in the shallow part of the water, playing ball, and life in general. No matter what he was doing, he always had a very proud & confident look on his face. He blessed us with 14 years of unconditional love and companionship. A wonderful dog! Gone, but not forgotten and in our hearts forever!
