Nancy said Tips is doing awesome. She said Tips acts like she has been there her whole life. She gets along great with all the family that has come over to see her. Even Landon (The Grand-Dog) is in love with her!! Tips is so happy and enjoys giving everyone hugs and kisses!!8/15/08
First thing Cathy said, “Oh my goodness, Tips is doing SO good!!” She’s already putting on a little more weight; they can barely see her spine anymore. And the Doctor already reduced her Thyroid dose because she’s showing improvement already.
Cathy says Tips is still such a big cute baby, always wanting lots of petting and loving from everyone. J She seems to be acting like a playful puppy again, it’s just in spurts because she still gets tired out quickly, but that’s ok… as long as she has her fun!
Each day when the husband comes home from work, Tips gets a little shy and needs a reintroduction all over again, even though she eventually realizes he’s still the same loveable guy she had just seen that morning. It just takes about 15 minutes, and she just shy’s away behind Cathy until she recognizes him again. But Cathy said when she’s not home, Tips is completely fine with husband and everyone…. so Cathy thinks that Tips is definitely becoming a Mama’s Girl!
Tips is doing great with older sister-dog Sasha, she follows her around like she’s her mom or something. Tips has also met playful young cousin-dog Landon, and Cathy said Tips is doing good with putting Landon in his place with growl corrections if he’s too playful for her. She said Landon is such a happy goofball that he doesn’t get her corrections sometimes and still wants to play, so Cathy monitors & they just separate the dogs to give Tips a break since she gets tired out so quickly.
All the grandkids LOVE Tips, and Tips loves them right back – it’s definitely a mutual admiration between each other!
Cathy said they couldn’t be happier with their little sweetheart Tips!8/28/2008
Tips is gaining more weight and is starting to act like a normal young dog should. She’s made a new play friend and is enjoying life greatly with her new family. They didn’t expect her recovery to be so quick, but are very please it happened that way.10/30/2008
Hi Everyone! Tips is doing great and just got a clean bill of health from the vet. She weighs 50lbs and has no pain and doesn’t have to take pain pills anymore. She still takes thyroid tabs but may not have to after blood work in 3 months. We love her and it seems like she has been a part of our family forever. My granddaughter is always trying to take Tips home because she loves to cuddle. We have a special time every night just before bedtime when she gets in the chair with me and we cuddle for awhile before bed. What a total joy she is. -
