It’s so cool seeing all of our team efforts (staff, volunteers, and all our supporters) coming full circle to accomplish our dream of placing dogs in loving forever homes. Lately with all the exciting Adoption interest, I can’t help but step back to notice how everything is coming together because of the awesome efforts of EVERYONE involved!!

The circle begins when staff members go out to the local shelters to take in homeless dogs, giving them a second chance… then our medical team and staff work together to provide whatever medical care they need so they can be healthy and happy… then our staff & volunteers work with each dog on their behavior/training needs, as well as provide plenty of exercise and lots of TLC on a daily basis, making each dog’s stay at their ‘home-along-the-way’ an enjoyable positive experience…. which in turn keeps the dogs that much more adoptable for their destined family that they are waiting for… all the while our supporters help spread the word about our cause through various forms of promotion, which shares our Adoptable Dogs with local families that could be the perfect match for one of our “Sanctuary Sweethearts”… then next thing you know, amazing loving families are coming out to open their hearts & homes to these wonderful rescue dogs, and the dogs soon move on to an exciting new beginning – sharing the rest of their lives in a Forever Family of their very own!! It doesn’t end there though – the circle begins AGAIN, because for every happy dog that finds a home, it opens the door to help another homeless dog that needs a second chance. We can continue helping more dogs in need through the generous financial support of our outstanding supporters… and we are so grateful for our staff & volunteers who continually devote so much of themselves to impact the precious lives of each of our dogs on a daily basis.

We couldn’t do what we do without the passion and devotion of ALL our team’s efforts – TOGETHER, we are making Mackenzie’s dream and mission a reality!

I am privileged to work at Mackenzie’s, where we all have a common cause and can make a difference in the lives of rescue dogs. With a passion for helping dogs, each person in the circle makes a huge difference and when combined the synergy is absolutely incredible!

Kristi works tirelessly to match canine-alities with forever homes and does an outstanding job in pairing adoptions. Way to go, Kristi!
