Iron Man has been through a lot lately. He recently had knee surgery to repair a torn caudal cruciate ligament and several torn areas of his meniscus. The cranial and caudal cruciate ligaments work together to keep the knee stable, and caudal cruciate tears are quite uncommon. Unfortunately, once one of these ligaments starts to tear, it often leads to secondary damage to the meniscal ligament. This surgery will greatly improve his comfort level in his knee once he fully heals.

In addition, Iron Man has arthritis developing in both knees, so he will likely need chronic pain medications in the future to help manage his arthritis discomfort. He’s also on several medications to help him cope with the stress of the kennel environment.

Thanks to his dedicated friends at MAS, Iron Man is making fantastic progress in his basic obedience training. His massive smile and wagging tail are a testament to the love and care he receives from his team here.
