Priscilla
Status: Not Adoptable
Date of Birth: August 3, 2019
Sweet Priscilla arrived at a local shelter emaciated, neglected, and in pain from severe hip arthritis caused by hip dysplasia. When asked to take her in for surgery to ease her discomfort, we gladly said yes.
During her initial exam, we noticed her unusual gait and sent her to a veterinary neurologist for further testing. An MRI revealed intervertebral disc disease and some skull and brain irregularities affecting her movement—but thankfully, these conditions are stable. With that reassurance, Priscilla was cleared for hip surgery to provide long-term pain relief.
Following her procedures, she’ll undergo physical rehabilitation at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary and, with time and care, is expected to enjoy a full, comfortable life ahead.
Priscilla will be up for adoption once her medical procedures are complete. Until then, please consider sponsoring her to help cover the medical expenses.
