When I asked how the first week went, the first thing Mark said was, “that Alice is one really cool girl.” As you can imagine, Alice is still quite the snuggler, any time, anywhere. She has settled right into their home routine like she’s always been there. No potty accidents in the house, no destructive chewing. She does great with her Crate too. When I was talking to Mark, Alice was lying on a pillow nearby just relaxing. He & Deb laughed the other day when they found Alice curled up into a tiny ball snuggled in Rusty’s small pillow bed (Rusty is a little Yorkshire Terrier!).

One thing they have noticed is that possibly Alice is unable to bark. They wonder if someone taught her not to, or if someone in the past had used an “Anti-Bark” collar on her. . . because she’s always so quiet (even when the other dogs go nuts barking), and the one time she made an attempt at a bark, it was a very breathy squeek that he could barely hear. Alice seems fine with it (the other two dogs bark very well to make up for it!), but they just thought it was unusual.

All 3 dogs are getting along very well so far. Rusty is the more “bossy” one, and still seems a little unsure about Alice getting too close to him, so Alice is great at giving him his space. Sammie really wants to initiate play with Alice, but Alice likes to just do her own thing most of the time.

Alice has her “hyper-head” spurts where she flies through the house, running up & down their stairs, which is quite comical. Yet she tires out pretty easily and likes to have her relaxation time too.

She was great for their Vet. He said she could lose 8-10 lbs, but otherwise appears very healthy.
