    November 3, 2009 Update
I just wanted to give you update on my first night in my Forever Home!
I am so very happy and feel right at home it’s amazing! Windows are just the
best invention ever, I just love to look outside! I only chased the orange
cat once, and mom said that was ok because the cat was teasing me, but
they’re ok creatures. Buddy and I actually had a few minutes of play and
chase time, I think he’s beginning to like me. At least he doesn’t drool
anymore. I made one mistake and pooped in the house when my parents went
out for a quick dinner, but I was forgiven. I’ll try harder today. When my
dad came home I made sure to smother him with love so he knows how thankful
I am to be here. My parents cannot imagine why no one has adopted me
sooner, I am soooo well behaved and loving! I wasn’t too thrilled with the
crate bedroom, but settled in and slept all night. Today is a brand new day
and I am really looking forward to all the adventures I’m going to have!
Thanks again to you and the staff for all the love you have given me, that’s
what has made me such a loving dog for my new family!

    Update 11/17/2009
I thought I would let you know what is going on with that scar above Benji’s eye.
Remember how it was pretty nasty looking and we were wondering how he got it?
And if it might go away once he was happily settled in? Well, it’s gone!!! Totally growing back in! He looks great.
He continues to amaze us with how smart he is and how loving and eager to please.
I would have to say he is probably the best dog we’ve ever had! (Sorry Buddy!)
He and Buddy are really enjoying each other, but he’s also really taken to my son Chad’s Schnauzer Otis.
They play really hard together! We have had no accidents or issues in the house when we’re at work, and Buddy is also doing better with that too. Match made in heaven! <img decoding=” title=”Very Happy” />

    Pretty Neat Huh!!!!!

    Update 12/30/2009
Hope you’re having a wonderful Holiday Week! I just wanted to share an
update on Benji, he’s had an exciting couple of weeks! He continues to be
an exceptionally wonderful family member and a favorite of everyone who
meets him. Everyone wonders how he was overlooked for so long! Benji met
our groomer Christmas week and she was amazed how well he did for her! He
also met our nieces, which were the first children he’s interacted with
since coming to live with us. He really loved them, but did get distressed
when my brother-in-law started wrestling with the 8 year old on the floor.
He kept running over and head-butting, not biting at, Joe. Then he claimed
Ana as "his" the rest of the weekend and stuck with her like glue! She
loved that! Benji had lots of fun time with his "cousins" Floyd (the min
pin) and Otis (the mini schnauzer). He will also have fun when Kaity (the
corgi) comes to stay in January for 3 months. My son is going on a 3 month
deployment and his newly pregnant (YEAH I’m finally going to be a Grandma!!)
wife will come home to stay with us! Benji also did well spending a day at
my parents with us, he loves car rides!

I see that MAC’s is doing a micro chipping event at Pet Supplies in Kentwood
soon. Will you be at that? We’ll probably drop by with Benji to see if
    anyone remembers him!

Wishing you and the staff a wonderful and blessed New Year! Thank you for
all you do for the Benji’s of the world!

    Sincerely,
Nancy and Benji Kay and Family
